Brown Heatly Building Renovations -Texas Facilities Commission

Fuse consulted for MEP Engineering to deliver significant updates and improvements to the state-owned Brown Heatly Building in North Austin. The first phase of the project focused on bringing the facility to modern safety codes by installing smoke partitions, smoke doors, and fire-rated doors where required. Highlight

Special care was taken to select tile finishes that blend with the existing palette, while also offering an updated, modern aesthetic. The pop of classic blue in the restrooms tastefully satisfies the client’s desire to deviate from the building’s existing monotone palette.

Design & Construction Facts

Fuse worked closely with MEP Engineering to ensure ADA access upgrades were incorporated for plumbing fixtures in the restroom, as well as drinking fountain and locker room renovations. The resulting renovations offer an improved experience and access for both employees and the public.
