CASA Central Texas Training Center

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Central Texas, Inc. advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system by recruiting, training and supporting community volunteers in Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Hays Counties. Located in San Marcos, the 6,000 square-foot, one story building houses a state-of-the-art training center and offices. The building is situated on the high side of a sloping site overlooking a grove of large trees with outdoor areas for small meetings or individual meditation.

Highlight

The heart of the building is the multifunctional space that CASA will use to conduct training, hold large meetings and host events. The space opens onto a covered terrace amongst existing oak tree canopies.

Design & Construction Facts

The building has the capability to limit access with security as a priority, starting with a secure building entry. The floor plan is a square layout with an efficient double loaded corridor for circulation, providing direct visibility down the corridors. The building has the capability to limiting access to secure office areas during any public or after-hours events.
